Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Patty: Flatten ground chuck into ¼-inch thick patties, seasoning top with salt, pepper, and garlic. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Make Bacon Jam: Cook chopped bacon in skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Drain fat but reserve some in the pan.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté diced onion until caramelized for about 10 minutes, then add minced garlic and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  4. Incorporate Ingredients for the Jam: Mix brown sugar, bourbon, apple cider vinegar, and maple syrup into skillet. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
  5. Cook the Patty: Heat griddle, grease with tallow or cooking spray. Cook chilled patties for about 4-6 minutes per side, adding cheese towards end.
  6. Assemble Sliders: Toast slider buns, then assemble with a patty, bacon jam, and top bun. Cut in half or serve whole.
