Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Begin by washing your fresh strawberries under cold water. Pat them dry gently with a clean kitchen towel, then remove the green tops. Slice the strawberries into uniform pieces, about ¼ inch thick.
- Place the sliced strawberries into a medium mixing bowl. Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the strawberries and add honey to sweeten. Gently toss the strawberries until they are well-coated in the mixture. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Grab serving bowls or glasses. In a separate bowl, scoop out the vanilla yogurt. Use a spatula to smooth it into the bottom of each serving bowl.
- After the strawberries have macerated, spoon a generous amount of the balsamic macerated strawberries over the layer of vanilla yogurt in each bowl, including some of the balsamic juices.
- Top each serving with a delightful dollop of whipped cream. If you prefer a vegan option, use a non-dairy whipped topping.
- Optionally, garnish each bowl with fresh mint or basil leaves. Serve immediately and enjoy.
