Dough Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, eggs, instant yeast, and granulated sugar. Whisk gently and let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
- Add sifted all-purpose flour and salt to the yeast mixture, stirring until combined. Knead for 3-4 minutes, then incorporate softened unsalted butter and knead for an additional 4-5 minutes until smooth.
- Shape the dough into a ball, place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 90 minutes until doubled in size.
Buns Shaping and Baking
- Once risen, punch the dough down, divide into 9 pieces, and shape into smooth balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover, and let rest for about 20 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fill the dough balls, carefully adding blueberries.
- For the topping, mix melted butter, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon until crumbly. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the buns with egg wash and sprinkle with streusel.
- Bake the buns for 20-23 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes
Ensure cream cheese and eggs are at room temperature for easier mixing. Avoid overfilling the buns to prevent spillage during baking.
