Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Cut mozzarella string cheese into 1-inch pieces. Set aside for filling.
- Divide pizza dough into 32 equal pieces to ensure even cooking.
- Flatten each piece of dough, add cheese in the center, seal and roll into a ball.
- Arrange dough balls on the baking sheet in a football shape.
- Brush tops of rolls with milk or egg wash and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 18 minutes, until golden brown. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes if desired.
- Melt butter and mix with Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and herbs to create garlic butter.
- Brush garlic butter over warm rolls and decorate with thin cheese strips.
- Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
