Step-by-Step Instructions for Classic Cucumber Sandwiches
  1. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, fresh dill, and kosher salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Spread the herbed mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Slice the cucumber into thin, even slices. Arrange half of the bread slices herbed spread side up, and layer the cucumber slices over them.
  4. Gently place the remaining bread slices over the cucumbers, spread side down, creating a sandwich. Press down lightly.
  5. Trim off the crusts and cut each sandwich into quarters.
  6. Arrange the cut sandwiches on a serving dish and garnish as desired.
