- In a large soup pot over medium-high heat, add 1 pound of lean ground beef. Cook undisturbed for about 5-6 minutes, until browned.
- Add one medium diced onion to the pot, stirring it into the beef. Cook for about 5 minutes until softened and translucent.
- Stir in 3-4 minced garlic cloves, ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, and ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning. Cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in one can of tomato sauce, ¾ cup of beef broth, 1 cup of heavy cream, and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce. Stir and simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes.
- Once the orzo is tender, remove from heat. Stir in ½ cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese and 2 cups of packed fresh baby spinach until wilted.
