Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thawed shredded hash browns, season with salt and black pepper, and cook undisturbed for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy. Carefully flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  2. In the same skillet, add more oil if necessary and crumble in the breakfast sausage. Cook over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside, leaving drippings.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and whole milk, seasoning with salt and pepper. Pour into the skillet and gently stir with a spatula, cooking for about 4-5 minutes until softly scrambled. Remove from heat.
  4. Assemble the bowls by dividing the crispy hash browns as the base, followed by scrambled eggs and cooked sausage. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top to melt.
  5. Finish by adding salsa and diced avocado on top. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped green onions and cilantro.
  6. Serve immediately while warm. Enjoy your delicious Hash Brown Breakfast Bowls!
