Cooking Steps
- Generously season your chuck roast with salt and pepper on all sides.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sear the roast for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Chop onion, garlic, carrots, and potatoes; layer them in the bottom of the Crock Pot.
- Transfer the seared roast to the Crock Pot over the vegetables. Add broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
- Remove the roast when done and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
