Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix together hot water and instant coffee until dissolved, then set aside.
  3. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and cooled coffee mixture to the creamed butter and sugar, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gradually add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, folding until just combined.
  6. Roll 1/4 cup of dough into a ball, coat in crushed Oreos, and flatten to 1-inch thick.
  7. Bake for 12-13 minutes until edges are firm and centers remain soft.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  9. Prepare chocolate frosting by melting chocolate chips and cream with butter, powdered sugar, cocoa, and vanilla until smooth.
  10. Frost cooled cookies and top with crushed Oreos and gummy worms.
