  • 6 slices Bacon Smoky, savory crunch; can use turkey bacon or pancetta
  • 1 cup Cream Cheese Softened, for a rich sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream For intense richness; can substitute with half-and-half
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated, prefer freshly grated for best results
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; can substitute with garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Blend of herbs for flavor
  • Salt and Pepper Adjust to taste
For Garnish
  • Fresh Parsley Adds color and freshness

Equipment

  • large pot
  • Large skillet

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Fill a large pot with water and add a generous amount of salt. Bring to a rolling boil, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the cheese tortellini to the boiling water and cook for 3-5 minutes or until they float. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until crispy. Drain excess grease while keeping bacon in the pan.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Lower the heat, add cream cheese, and stir until melted. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  7. Fold in the drained tortellini, adding reserved pasta water as needed to adjust sauce consistency. Mix in crispy bacon.
  8. Plate the tortellini and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot.
