Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, sauté onion and garlic until translucent, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl, mix with sausage meat, sage, thyme, black pepper, and salt.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Transfer sausage mixture into logs on the edge of the pastry, roll tightly and seal the edges.
- Slice the roll into 2-inch pieces, place on a baking sheet, and brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
