Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a medium-sized baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Cut your bread into bite-sized cubes and place in a large bowl. Let sit for a few minutes to dry out.
  3. Steam or blanch the broccoli florets until tender, about 3–4 minutes. Chop into smaller pieces and add to the bread bowl.
  4. Add the diced ham and grated Parmesan cheese to the bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, and stir to combine.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. Pour this mixture over the bread and veggies.
  6. Gently stir everything together until all bread cubes are coated. Transfer mixture to the greased baking dish, spreading evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Check for doneness by inserting a knife into the center; it should come out clean.
