Step-By-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a medium-sized baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Cut your bread into bite-sized cubes and place in a large bowl. Let sit for a few minutes to dry out.
- Steam or blanch the broccoli florets until tender, about 3–4 minutes. Chop into smaller pieces and add to the bread bowl.
- Add the diced ham and grated Parmesan cheese to the bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, and stir to combine.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. Pour this mixture over the bread and veggies.
- Gently stir everything together until all bread cubes are coated. Transfer mixture to the greased baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Check for doneness by inserting a knife into the center; it should come out clean.

Notes
For best results, use stale bread. Customize ingredients based on what you have on hand. Can be made ahead of time and baked later.
