Step-by-Step Instructions for Ube Brownies
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Gather your ingredients and equipment.
- Melt 150g of unsalted butter in the microwave for about 30 to 50 seconds until completely melted.
- Stir in 75g of light brown sugar and 130g of white sugar until dissolved and mixture is smooth.
- Add one large egg and 2 teaspoons of ube extract to the sugar mixture; blend until shiny.
- Sift 175g of all-purpose flour and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch into the bowl, fold until just combined.
- Fold in ⅛ teaspoon of salt (if using) and 150g of white chocolate chips until well distributed.
- Pour the mixture into an 8-inch square baking pan and smooth the top evenly.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until edges look set and center has a slight wobble.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
