  • 1 each Egg Optional for egg wash

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the rolled pastry, then layer the ham and cheddar cheese evenly.
  4. Carefully roll the pastry tightly from one long side into a log shape.
  5. Wrap the log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  6. Slice the roll into ½-inch thick pieces using a sharp knife.
  7. (Optional) Brush the tops of each pinwheel with whisked egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
