Ingredients

  • 1 whole Kiwi Ensure it's ripe for best results.

  • 1/2 cup Pineapple Juice Avoid using fresh pineapple for a balanced flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Switch to tamari or coconut aminos for gluten-free.
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar Can be replaced with white sugar or maple syrup.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil Opt for toasted sesame oil for an extra flavor punch.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Always use fresh for the best results.
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Fresh ginger is preferable over powdered.
For the Ribs
  • 2 lbs Beef Short Ribs Boneless and cut into ½-inch thick pieces.

Method
 

Directions
  1. Blend kiwi, green onions, pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
  2. Place beef short ribs in a Ziploc bag, pour marinade over, seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
  3. Preheat grill, air fryer, or skillet to high heat (around 400°F). Ensure proper temperature for cooking.
  4. Remove ribs from marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Grill for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Serve ribs hot with optional grilled pineapple slices.
  6. Enjoy with loved ones at the table, savoring the flavors of this homemade alternative to fast food!
