Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by liberally seasoning the flat cut beef brisket with salt and pepper, ensuring every inch is covered for maximum flavor. Allow the brisket to sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Set your Instant Pot to the sauté function and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Once the oil is hot, toss in 1 teaspoon of minced garlic and 1/4 cup of diced onion. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onions become translucent.
  3. Carefully place the seasoned brisket into the pot, browning it for approximately 3 minutes on each side for added flavor.
  4. Pour in 1 cup of beef broth and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, stirring gently to incorporate any browned bits. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of rosemary and 1 teaspoon of thyme.
  5. Close the lid, set the pressure release valve to sealed position, and manually cook the brisket for 45 minutes.
  6. Once the cooking time is up, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for 30 minutes before opening.
  7. Remove the brisket from the pot and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing it against the grain.
