Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed ripe bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract and whisk until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Lightly flour your work surface and turn the dough out onto it, pressing it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the rolled-out dough, then roll tightly to create a log shape and cut into 1-inch thick rolls.
- Place the cinnamon rolls in the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, prepare the cream cheese glaze by beating together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and a splash of milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls once they are out of the oven.
