Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, and optional spinach until well combined.
- Flatten the meat mixture into a rectangle, spread cheese filling evenly, roll into a log, sealing the filling inside.
- Place the rolled meatloaf seam-side down in a loaf pan or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Pour marinara sauce over the top about 10 minutes before baking is complete.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
