- Begin by gently cleaning the white button mushrooms under cold running water to remove any dirt. Then, slice them into 1/2 inch thick pieces.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium-high heat. Once melted, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Reduce heat to medium and add remaining tablespoon of butter. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add Worcestershire and soy sauce, followed by oregano, tarragon, paprika, black pepper, and chili powder. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer sautéed mushrooms to a serving dish and garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives before serving.
