For the Baguette
  • 1 loaf Baguette Cut into 24 slices.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Brush on baguette for added flavor.

  • 8 ounces Goat Cheese Can be replaced with cream cheese.
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup or Honey Drizzle on top.

  • 1/2 cup Candied Pecans Optional for added crunch.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil and a wire rack.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, water, black pepper, cayenne, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
  3. Lay bacon strips onto the wire rack in a single layer and brush with the brown sugar mixture. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Slice the baguette into rounds, brush with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and toast for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Chop cooled bacon, spread goat cheese on toasted baguette, top with bacon, and drizzle with maple syrup or honey.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs and candied pecans if using. Serve warm.
