- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, and salt. Stir in lemon juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Fold in the drained canned peaches.
- Pour the peach filling into your prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Prepare the topping by combining additional flour, sugar, and baking powder in a food processor. Add cold unsalted butter cubes and pulse until resembling coarse crumbs.
- Mix milk and lemon juice to create a buttermilk substitute. Stir in vanilla extract. Gradually add to the flour mixture until just combined.
