Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter along with 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add 1 chopped onion to the pot and sauté for about 5 minutes until it becomes translucent.
  3. Introduce 1 pound of bite-sized chicken breast pieces into the pot and sauté for approximately 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in ½ cup of chopped sun-dried tomatoes, followed by 3 cups of chicken broth, 1 cup of heavy cream, and ½ cup of water.
  5. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, then add 12 ounces of fusilli pasta.
  6. Once the pasta is cooked, remove from heat, and stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and ¼ cup of chopped fresh basil.
