  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter regular peanut butter like JIF or Skippy
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar packed
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 2 cups Old-Fashioned Oats do not substitute with instant oats
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.5 cups Chocolate Chips reserve some for topping

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a stand mixer, combine softened butter and creamy peanut butter. Mix on medium speed for about 2-3 minutes until fluffy.
  3. Gradually mix in packed brown sugar, blending until smooth and creamy for about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add one egg and a splash of water, beat on low speed until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in 1.5 cups of chocolate chips, saving a few for topping.
  7. Scoop out 2-tablespoon-sized balls of dough on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each ball.
  8. Gently flatten each ball slightly with a fork and add 3-4 chocolate chips on top.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  10. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
