Preparation Steps
  1. Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, chop them into small, uniform cubes.
  2. Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and slice them in half.
  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the diced sweet potatoes and sauté for 8-10 minutes until golden-brown.
  5. Add halved Brussels sprouts and optional ingredients as desired, along with the seasonings.
  6. Continue to cook for another 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. In the last 5 minutes, fold in any optional proteins and stir well.
  8. Remove from heat and top with fresh herbs or avocado, if desired, before serving.
