Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch until thoroughly combined. Add the thinly sliced beef steak and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef slices in a single layer and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add sliced bell peppers and onions, sautéing them for 3-4 minutes over medium-high heat.
  4. Lower the heat slightly, add minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Return seared beef and any juices to the skillet. Add beef broth or water, stirring to blend flavors. Cook for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
