- Season shrimp with your preferred seafood seasoning. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat, cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes each side until pink. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil to medium-high heat. Brown the ground sausage for 4-5 minutes, add onions, bell peppers, and garlic, and sauté for another 5 minutes.
- Add oregano, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir in flour and mix well for a minute.
- Pour in 2 cups of chicken broth, stir, and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until it thickens.
- Stir in cooked rice, mix well, and let it simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
- Fold the shrimp back in, mixing gently without breaking them. Cook for 1 more minute and serve hot.
