Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Set aside, leaving some fat in the skillet, and add chopped mushrooms to sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and mix half of the Swiss cheese in. Place the remaining cheese on top along with the bacon and sautéed mushrooms.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm, optionally garnished with fresh parsley.
