Equipment

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Generously season the beef strips with salt and pepper. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and cook the beef for 3–4 minutes per side until it reaches a beautiful medium-rare doneness.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and sliced chili until the mixture is well combined and the sugar has dissolved.
  3. While the beef is grilling, wash and slice the cucumber into thin rounds and shred the carrots. Chop the cilantro and mint leaves.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, add the sliced cucumber, shredded carrots, and thinly sliced red onion. Toss in the freshly chopped cilantro and mint.
  5. Introduce the sliced beef to this vibrant mixture and drizzle the prepared dressing over the top to ensure all ingredients are coated in flavor.
  6. Gently toss the Thai Beef Salad to mix everything together without bruising the vegetables.
  7. Serve immediately for the best texture, optionally topping with crushed peanuts or additional fresh herbs.

Notes

Allow cooked beef to rest for a few minutes before slicing to keep it tender. Store the dressing separately until serving to maintain veggie crunch.
