Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Cook diced bacon in a skillet over medium-low heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and crumble, leaving 2 tablespoons grease in the skillet.
- Sauté diced yellow onion in the remaining grease for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Add chopped button mushrooms and cook for 5-6 minutes, then stir in minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, crumbled bacon, milk, and Monterey Jack cheese. Mix until the cheese melts and becomes creamy.
- Gently fold in drained canned green beans until evenly coated, being careful not to overmix.
- Transfer to the prepared baking dish, top with French fried onions, and bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes
Prepare at least an hour before serving for the best experience. For make-ahead, add fried onions just before baking.
